Texas Panhandle / Oklahoma
Looking for a better way north. US287 across Oklahoma was rough enough to knock my filings out, at least it didn't last long. I recall US83 to Liberal as being not bad in Okla but real bad in Texas so...

We came up 283 from Vernon, TX to Dodge City the first part of March. It was horrible. We went to Texas down 83 from Liberal - road was fine to Perryton, but horrible for the next 40 or so miles. They are working on that stretch, so it might be lots better soon - but - don't think we're going that way again - not even to see if it's improved. Thinking of taking 183 when we go south again in December. We know it's okay through Kansas and we'll see how it is through Oklahoma - then continue south on 281 from Wichita Falls.
