I am headed North from Amarillo, TX to Dodge City, KS. My mapping program and GPS want me to take TX-70 from US-60 to US-83 to US-54. I looked at Google Earth, but can not tell how the road surface is...

Thanks to those that responded. For anyone that might care, US-60 East from Amarillo to Pampas was good four lane. There was one section of right lane closure. Traffic was light. TX-70 from Pampas to US-83 was good two lane with a few three lane passing sections. The speed limit is 75 MPH which caused me some concern as I don't go over 60 MPH when towing. Traffic was light and mostly passenger vehicles. There was one short construction zone with one way traffic. Again traffic was light so the delay was not long.
