The Costco effect

So I am at the S&B waiting for my departure date.
We got our first COSTCO Friday.
They opened their gas pumps up at $2.999 per gallon.
The other stations in the area which had been as much as $3.29 a gallon immediately dropped to either the same price or a few cents higher.
Costco dropped their price further to 2.959 per gallon and almost all the nearby stations have dropped to $2.999 with one even matching Costcos price.
Look at 13031 zip at gas buddy if you are curious
With the wholesale price of gas at $2.19 on the NYM and taxes in NY at about $.67 per gallon that is not bad at all

  • Diesel at Costco? Woodenville could be Our First Stop this Winter on the Trip South!

Will have to keep an eye on that one!

The Woodinville Wa. store is installing diesel pumps right now and who knows where else they may pop up.

That's not the first one actually. A handful have diesel, but what it takes to convince Costco to add diesel, I have not a clue.

It will settle out and Costco will be the lowest day to day.
Only wish our Costco also pumped diesel.

  • If they pumped diesel they'd have to enlarge their pump area. A few C's I've been to looked awfully crowded for an RV.
