Hit one in the city of Durango on a Sunday morning. It looked like a shadow from the trees. The hitch pin broke, the trailer came over us like whale in the water. Fortunately, the damage was minimal. We used every piece of wood we had plus the SUV jack to raise it up and get the heck out of Dodge. Down the road, we were able to collect ourselves and get things going again. Broke the hitch pin and soon replaced the codder pin. It never was the same and had to replace the whole thing.
Age changes things. I used to say my sweet spot was 62 mph, now it's more like 52 mph. I'm in no hurry.
