If we are talking about Alaska, why are all the photos of buildings, construction equipment and crowded camp sites? You are missing the obvious. Don't be afraid to venture out into thousands of square miles of magnificent bush country. It is not listed on the list of sights to see, it is free, there is no DVD, no reservations, and no one else out there. It is the best part.
YOU missed the obvious. The picture was not of construction equipment but of the eagle nest at the top. The pics of the campsites are informational. It's not up to you to judge whether or not their pictures are "correct".
All of my favorite places in Alaska are the ones you have never heard of.
