I believe that goes for Highways 26, 6, and 18 to and from the coast!:S

Friday travel to is crowded Westbound, and Sunday travel Eastbound.

I have driven both routes many times pulling our 5er, Hy6 is easier and better by far!
The drive from Tillamook to Canon Beach on 101 itself has some steep, but short grades, and Hy26 starts with a climb to the Coast Ranges 1,600' summit in short order.
I find HY6 by far the better road.

Nice easy drive, good 2 lane road easy hills

As others have said it is an easy drive. After you crest the mountain there is some uneven pavement so take it easy.

Easy drive.

We just did it two weeks ago. Beautiful drive through the mountains. Nothing steep. We were towing our 5th wheel.

It's a nice 2 lane Hiway some hills but not bad
