Totally agree with Canadian Rainbirds ",,,We have often found sites where in shorepower is unusable; open ground or hot/neutral reversed. In these cases the portable battery charger can be put into play if the usage exceeds the solar charging..."
We have had this problem in Mexico and have burned out microwaves in Baja and Yucatan. Son Cary (who is a licensed master electrician and first licensed alternative energy contractor in NM since 1991) came down with family to visit in Yucatan. He brought down a battery charger as Rainbirds suggest and things to include air conditioner worked quite well with 4 x glass mat batteries and 2.5 kW PSW inverter.
Current system is 1.42 kW of solar and about 9.6 kW=hours of LFP so we can run Dometic refrigerator (power hog) 24 hours a day on 110V if we have sunny days. We will be down 3 kW-hours in the morning from the refrigerator and other uses.
