- LwiddisExplorer IIMy tanker truck is on the way south.
- midnightsadieExplorer IIone side of town $2.34 the other $2.65 same gas company.
- Talleyho69ModeratorThe one Pemex we taxied by this afternoon (between vehicles) was posted at 19.49.
- qtla9111NomadPrices vary from city to city and state to state. Here in Monterrey, the average price is 19.99 but fuel can be found at Walmart gas stations at 19.56.
It is important to use a Mexican fuel price app to find pricing. I don't know of a webpage similar to GasBuddy which would be useful.
We use Gasoapp but it is only good for a 20 km range. However, I believe you can put a location other than yours and do the same thing.
Fortunately, here in Monterrey, people are consumer conscious and are buying fuel by price which was not part of our culture before the Mexican energy reform. You see long lines at stations with lower prices.
I've seen prices as much as 2 pesos difference depending on the part of the country I have traveled in excluding competitive border pricing as low as 14.25 per liter. - Talleyho69ModeratorThanks for that. As soon as we have a vehicle, we'll be watching!
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerYou'll see longer lines at stations that deliver honest liters. Ask a taxi driver. I fuel up at a BP up here that caters to police, ambulance and fire engines.
Lowest prices in town are at stations black-listed by the Mexican government. GASOLINERAS LISTA NEGRA. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorer
A welcome sight - moishehExplorerI often fuel up at a Pemex where the cabbies and the airport vehicles buy their fuel. This is also one of the stations that can test the fuel with a beaker. I am waiting for Arco to build more stations. My Silverado and my Wife's Rav 4 do not like Magna. The Rav gets a check engine light. The Silverado seems to run rough. Weird. NOB I burn regular. Some Japanese vehicles get plugged Catalytic convertors from Magna. But at least it is not like 25 years ago when your vehicle would ping or smoke from bad fuel!!

The Black List is maintained by El Consumidor and Profeco. The list is not for the lowest price, it is for incomplete liters.
Walmart is not on the list and as I stated, their fuel is consistently .50 less per liter than any other station. - Canadian_RainbiExplorerStill cheaper than here, and our price has come down in the week since the original post. One more reason that we wish we were there!
