Some toll roads, like the 407ETR around the Greater Toronto Area do not have toll booths. If you don't have a transponder, a camera takes a photo of your license plate, and you'll get a bill in the mail, no matter where you live. The private company that owns this highway has reciprocal agreements with other states and provinces. We avoid it like the plague; just too expensive.
