I have NY EZpass and there is a monthly fee, even with on-line statements.
According to the web sites, there is no monthly fee for the NY EZPass if obtained through the NY Thruway commission (with online statements). If you get it through the Port Authority of NY/NJ, there is a $1.00 monthly account service fee.
The NY Thruway EZPass offers a special motorhome discount plan under which motorhomes are charged passenger car tolls (for the same number of axles) on the NY Thruway. If you take a motorhome on the thruway frequently, this can be a substantial savings; the usual toll rates, at least in my case (class C motorhome), are approximately double the rate for a car.
