I certainly agree the tolls in the Northeast are insane. I remember the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge on Rt. 50 near Annapolis would charge $2.50 for a vehicle and an additional $2.50 per axle for a trailer. So if your travel trailer had 2 axles you paid more for the trailer than you did for the tow vehicle. The Delaware Memorial Bridge in South Jersey is a straight per axle rate. I think the last time I crossed with the MH and toad I paid $20. I don't know what the NJ Turnpike charges. I try to avoid that highway. I live in Northwest Jersey so when I travel south I cross at the I-95 bridge near Trenton then drive through Philly. That bridge, at least for now, is free.
