Three possibilities.
You're old enough to remember when maps were made from dead trees. Get a set and plan a route that you would like.
If you have a GPS unit, it may have the option to plan a route avoiding interstate highways, toll roads, et . Try that.
If you belong to AAA, they will plan a route for you.
As previously said, we also drive in the 62-65 range on interstates. Just stay in the Granny Lane and you'll be just fine.

Interstates are a huge bore We avoid them whenever possible.
