Towing a 28 ft TT to Big Bear Lake from San Diego

From S.D. I'd take 38.

215 to 10 east get off at orange. Make a Left to lugonia hwy 38 then go right on lugonia. Through the town of mentone. Road is a very easy drive. Big rigs take this route. 330 has too many curves. Yes it is the shortest route up but too many curves. The back way up by lake baldwin is very steep. it is about 25 to 30 min longer than 330

Yeah, longer, but with the construction, and the fire cleanup, better to go out thru Apple Valley, and up the backside to Baldwin and over to the Fawnskin side.

Take the I-15 north to the I-215 north to the I-10 east to the 210 north to the 330 and then to the 18 to Big Bear. Be aware there is some road construction going on the 330 so expect delays.
