Drifts are "only" 17 feet, as compared to the previous season 20 feet. Obligatory news reports each year on this tradition; they actually started reporting on it back in March-April timeframe.
Plowing under way on the west side as well, though no video of that side. East-West side plows scheduled to meet up at the Alpine Visitor Center. Forecast for the coming 9 days should aid in their quest to get the road open by May 27th.
Be there next week - will try to take the GD's up to see while we are there.
