We have not been that way since a year ago so probably not qualified to answer.
We have never had a problem with "pilfering" by any soldier, police, aduana, or anyone.
Our tests of electric at Las Palmas indicate very few properly wired outlets in the RV area. Bad grounds. Wrong polarity. Etc. In recent years we just stay at the San Pedro truck stop in the lighted area by the fuel pumps toward the dirt area to the north. Never a problem. If you do go to Las Palmas they will probably have to open the gate for a Foretravel - few motorhomes clear the main entrance.
