Travel on Old Route 66

We are planning a trip this summer going from Ohio to the Grand Canyon with some of our route being taken on route 66. We are in a 31ft motorhome and towing our car. Any suggestions or places that we should visit or not? Thanks for your imput.

    We have just jumped in the MH and driven west on old route 66 for a couple of days with no expatations and no real destination its a lot of fun to drive the old road. There are some good sections in Okla Missouri, NM and Arz If you have never been on the road everything will be new and interesting. Have fun! Springfield Missouri has a real neat museum on the Square and has some of the road well marked.

    We have not yet made the Route 66 trip, but it's on our list.

    When traveling, I like to use Roadside America. Maybe it has something that will interest you.
