We were camping at Kiptopeke during Hurricane Matthew! We camped in a class B and had our Durango with us as well. The only thing you can buy in the park is basic stuff like ice, firewood, and bug spray. I did not fish so I do not know about that but the park staff is very helpful - perhaps a call will handle that. The beach is a reasonable walk from the campground.
I do not believe there is anything like beer and food within 7 or 8 miles. We were glad we had a car with us, but we are not bikers.
We were coming from the Charlottesville area, so we did 64 to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel going there and had to go the northern route home because high winds closed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
