Sorry for any confusion I may have caused. In no way am I trying to say Mexico is safe. There are dangers everywhere we go. We take whatever precautions we can and we move on. We cannot and will not live in fear. I hear these things all the time - someone was killed in Mexico or the cartels do horrible things. None of this is exclusive to Mexico. It happens everywhere. It is not about drugs or guns or whatever. It is about people. And it can happen anywhere at any time. Are the odds better or the risks higher from one place to another? I really do not think there is any way to know. When it is your time to go you are going to go and there is nothing you can do about it. We can hide in a bomb shelter and there is still a chance something can get us. But hiding is not living. We choose to live. We bought a motorhome to travel - not to park and watch world go by on TV. Maybe I am crazy but I have been going to Mexico since 1971 and every single time I go everyone tells me I will be killed - or something. I am now 71 and still living. Not everyone is satisfied living in an RV park in TX or AZ or wherever - and playing golf everyday. We like to be amazed and we find lots to amaze us all over Mexico. We have traveled all over Mexico for years by ourselves and prefer to travel by ourselves. That could end up being the end of us - but we think not. It is all a state of mind. Clear your mind and find a way to enjoy life to it's fullest.
