Route 2 is NOT the Going to the Sun road! There are no vehicle restrictions on route 2 between Browning on the east and Columbia Falls on the west side. From East Glacier, take route 89 north to pick up route 464 at the north end of Lower St. Mary Lake. 464 is non-mountain driving to get you to Browning and route 2. route 89 south from East Glacier is twisty/curvy and not so good for a large RV. IIRC, route 2 top out at somewhere between 5,000 and 6,000 feet. No steep grades.
