It is bad in Louisiana but all the roads seem to be bad there. Texas while not great are OK east of Houston and improve west of there. Especially west of San Antonio. Now that I think of it, I thought the Feds paid for Interstate highway maintenance via the fuel tax fund. That makes you wonder why the roadway is so bad in LA, but the fact that most of their governors go from the statehouse to the jail house might have something to do with. If that's true I guess the Illinois roads must be horrible.
I-10 in Florida used to be bad until they asphalted over that defective concrete roadway. Now it is one of the best in the country. Not much to look at tho as you drive thru.
