traveling over Christmas anything open?
Will all the major truck stops and rest areas be open CHristmas Eve and Christmas day? Never had to travel on these days before and are concerned for fuel, etc??

I drove my Mom in her car to her place in Florida from Cincinnati for the winter in '96 on Christmas eve and the next day. Most gas stations and motels were open, but restaurants were mostly closed. We found a Chinese restaurant open on Christmas night, but nothing else. Florida rest area buildings were closed, and some had the gates closed, but that was only in Florida. Other travelers said there were union problems.
The next day I flew home and had my choice of seats.
