I don't think keeping the battery charged on a tender will do what you want. My understanding is that the chemical reaction in the battery changes when the temp of the battery is reduced. A fully charged cold battery cannot put out as many CCA as a fully charged warm battery. A tender will keep the battery charged but not warm.
