We are traveling upnthe 5 from California with the final destination of Lincoln City Oregon. Thinking of crossing over from Salem on the 22.We will be in a 34 ft motorhome, also towing.Has anyone take...

Hold on... 22 is not the road you want to take into Lincoln City. It will take you north of Lincoln City. Hwy 18 is the one you want. You take 22 to 18, then stay on 18.
My advice: Crossover a little more south. US 20 is nice. Hwy 126 is too. I'm particularly fond of Hwy 38 out of Drain. That routes you by some beautiful elk pastures. The drive north from there is incredible, especially the area just south of Yachats. And it's not as long as going the entire way on 101. You won't have any issues with your motorhome. I would only avoid US 199 in a 34 footer and towing.
Happy travels, whatever way you decide. There's so much to see in Oregon that there's no real right answer on which route to take.
