Travelling from Nevada to Alaska in the Middle of Winter

Hello all! New to this forum and quite excited! I did some searching of the internet in hopes of finding the answers I need and did find "some". At this point, I feel I just need to ask the experts...

Yes, Alaska does allow studded tires. Winter tires are almost a requirement in AK. I buy a second set of wheels and have them mounted on their own wheel so I could seasonally swap my tires at home, otherwise you wait in long lines during tire changeover season.
