Travelling from Nevada to Alaska in the Middle of Winter

Hello all! New to this forum and quite excited! I did some searching of the internet in hopes of finding the answers I need and did find "some". At this point, I feel I just need to ask the experts...

The Marine Highway is a great idea, but it costs a lot to take a truck and a TT. I have ridden it twice.

Studded snow tires are great especially on ice and transitional snow. I ran them on all four wheels in Colorado during the legal season. It helped a lot getting around in the snow and logging in the mountains.
