Up here we have bags of sand that most gas stations carry during the winter months for weight., which you can buy.
Myself I fill two 5 gal pails of “dry” sand in the fall put the lids on and leave them in the box of my truck. The bags if the sand is wet will freeze in lumps and have to be busted up with the back side of an ax etc if you need some sand, hence the reason I put mine in 5 gal buckets with the lid on in the fall.
I use them for weight, however I have in the past used some of the sand out of one of them to put under the blocking / bottle jack when I had issues with my snowmobile trailer in the winter. I little bit of grit goes a long ways on snow/ Ice when you in a jam.
Just a idea to think about.
Soup.
That's actuality a really good idea. I added it to my list.
How much wattage would I need from a generator in case of an emergency? Thinking about picking one up just in case.
