I don’t believe it is a necessary purchase at all. And you can fashion an ad hoc radiator cover out of a piece or 2 of cardboard, Masonite, old mud flap, garbage bag, etc pretty easy. Figure it out before you leave and if it gets real cold and temps are an issue, slide them in.
