Grease guns can be finicky. Idk why. I can kill a half hour getting one to pump grease and get the air bubble out and literally grab another gun, throw a new tube of grease in it and have no issues.
Warming up the grease gun and grease seems to help (if it’s colder out).
Looking at those hubs they look well greased, but you did it the right way to verify.
Now you can check that off your list for many more miles and years to come!
