Keep in mind that campgrounds start closing after Labor. The first ones will be the concessionaire operated ones in the mountains (Cascades). Low altitude ones closer to the coast stay open later, even year around (but with reduced loops and services).
Rains west of the Cascades usually are light but prolonged. Overcast all day with chance of showers, or an all drizzle. Blue tarp cities are common in campgrounds.
