On the 395 side: Bodie, Mono Lake, Manzanar, and the Eastern California Museum in Independence. The Forest Service closes some campgrounds in Mammoth and June Lake areas after Labor Day weekend. Mammoth Mountain RV Park is the only campground in Mammoth with hook-ups. They have a dump station if you do stay in a FS campground.
