Trip Reminder!!!

Want to remind people to post info & updates of roads and camping locations. Current information seems to be getting harder to find. We use to get A LOT more post from travelers so Early Birds please share a trip report for those will follow.

Thanks,

  • Bummer. We were hoping it would be open now, but spring it hopefully will be. Thanks
  • The western or northern by pass of San Louis Potosis is open all the way and is great the macrolibromento around Guadalajara from 80D to Chapala highway is open but the next section is not. So you need to follow the signs for Chapala which takes you towards Guad and then do a returno to go to Chapala as yet

Absolutely! We'd love to hear about the Guadalajara bypass, and what it's like. We know the southern half, but plan to be there next week and really really would love to use the bypass all the way to miss the city.

The bypass south of Queretaro is now open & great. It is about 60 km long and speeds up things considerably
  • The highway from Veracruz to Catemaco and then to Villahermosa is in terrible shape. I broke 2 trailer springs. I am currently in Campeche. Villahermosa to Isla Aguada, then here was fine.

rocmoc, does the absence of trip reports indicate a reduction in RV travel to Mexico? I hope not.

Everything is cyclic, More RV travelers and Less RV travelers. Too many factors!

There has been a natural turnover of Posters and the new Posters have not been posting as aggressively. IMHO I believe it maybe because of the less than friendly responses. I have been on here for a very longtime and you do have to have a thick skin at times. When I have posted trip reports in the past, I try to do so objectively, I have posted negative items at time. When I did I received negative attack posts even tho the person was not there or may have never been there. I just take it with a grain of salt and move on with my next post. BUT I do believe this has kept some/many from posting. JMHO again.
