I did the Europe thing in the 80's as a sole traveler with a backpack and loved it and experience I never regretted...did several trips of a couple of months each the longest being 3.5 months. So I won't be returning there anytime soon. Making the effort goes a long way...never did go to Morrocco and not sure it would be on my list for various reasons but glad you had a good time.
I look forward to our trip to Gaspe' and PEI in the off season...it will be cool, cold but doable.
