Trip to Yellowstone

I am planning a trip, leaving South carolina, in the middle of april, going I 40, and old 66 to the south rim of grand canyon, then going up to the grand Tetons. From there going to Yellowstone, and then South Dakota, to the bad lands, wall drug, and mount Rushmore. I am planning on a three months for this trip, with My D/W and me. Is this doable, in this amount of time, without being rushed. This would my first trip longer than one week. I am welcome to any suggestions.
thank you in advanced.
  • It is doable. You should lay out your route on an atlas then check for best route. We try to stay away from interstates and use primary federal and state highways.
We try to average only a couple hundred miles a day.
Route 66 in much of your trip is the interstate with only short stretches of the actual 66.
