They also say Iraq is safer than Detroit or Chicago. I just try to be careful where ever I travel. In the U.S. they have some web sites that will give info about crime rates etc. I have no desire to go to Mexico. That doesn't mean I don't like the country or listen to CNN. It is I just have no desire. Years ago used to go to TJ quite often when living in So CA. Always enjoyed our visits. Also visited some of Mexico by crossing the Rio Grande in Big Bend Natl park. More like the real Mexico. Hearing about all the shootings in this country I wonder why people from other countries come here to visit. I think many of us just feel more comfortable with where we were born. JMHO
