For me it's a no brainier, I simply don't go to Mexico and haven't been there in 20 years, plus it's Mexico lost as I see it.
Your input on this topic isn’t useful, it’s distracting. There are many who vacation in Mexico and have an incredible time there. The country is beautiful and is largely safe. There are areas to avoid, just like in the USA. If you can’t keep an open mind then try to keep it to your fears to yourself, others in this forum seek adventure and useful information.
I think it is and very useful for that matter, keep in mind us in so cal hear the every story of how crazy it is down there. I called it quits about 5 years ago vowing to NEVER enter that corrupt country and spend my dollars there. You are a complete idiot to bring your family down there and put them at risk to satisfy your sense of adventure. I have so many stories of people getting completely taken advantage of down there. The worst is friends of ours were pulled over with fake sirens coming back from the baja 1000, held at gun point, with there kids, taken up into the hills of tj, left and had to hike back to the border. There fifth wheel and buggies stolen. Yeah there is crime in the US but NOTHING Like that crazy country where mostly everyone and everybody is corrupt. I will never step foot again in that country and am quite happy they don't allow truck campers there.
