I agree with TucsonJim. I took 89T northbound a couple months ago. I was thinking...wonderful, now I don't have to climb the mountain! Really don't think it took any longer than the landslide route. I would stick with going through Page. Nice scenery and easy roads. Sounds like you won't have time to spend a day or two in Page to see Antelope Slot Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, etc. Too bad.
