Tucson to Yosemite

Which is the fastest route between these two I shall be driving my toad not the Rv..thanks les
  • take I 10 to I 5 north to Bakersfield. Then 99 north to Merced and 140 over to Yosemite.
or I 10 to San Bernadino, then north to Victorville and up 395 to Lee Vining and 120 into Yosemite Park (this route if you're going later in the year; it's snowed it at present)
  • Either route is good. After 120 is opened and it could be early this year I would say 395 to 120. Just because you see so much more of the park that way.
  • When are you going? I'd take 1-10,99, 41 north through Fresno. You have Mariposa Grove as you enter the park, but still have a 30 minute drive to the valley.
  • I10 to I8. I8 to N AZ85. AZ85 to I40 west. I40 west turns into CA58. CA58 to N99. N99 to N41 in Fresno. N41 into the south entrance for Yosemite.

This will be your fastest route until mid May.

They don't start plowing 120 (Tioga pass) until April 15th.

Though this year they might start and then say "Done" :-)
