Uhhmm...no. Firing your weapon in a National Park..or Provincial for that matter, will see you in jail. And it's not that we dislike American guns...many many like guns, whether US or German, or Swiss. We have different laws than the US about ownership and availability of guns in the home, or RV, or whatever.
The best thing I can offer to an American citizen that has a gun that they want to bring along..check with the BP. Long guns are often permitted, with the right paperwork. A handgun is not going to be allowed in. And really, if that offends a person, then they have to decide whether or not to visit outside the US. They can't go to Europe, nor Mexico either. In fact, I can't think of any country a US citizen 'can' go to, armed. It's all about choice.
