Tunnel Mtn, Banff Bear Warning

I would not try to bring a shotgun into Canada without a permit, even with bear repellent rubber slugs. I think your best bet is bear spray that is clearly identified as such.

Actually I've hiked in the Banff region and my bigger fear is not bears but cats. There are cougars but they generally don't wander into camping areas.
