I suggest that you take a look at the area on Google Earth. NM-14 is a good two lane road and a scenic drive. There is very limited parking in Madrid. Agree with this. I would not get off the main road. Depending on the day of week and time of day, Madrid may be difficult to find parking but probably can on the ends of town. There are several places along NM-14 big enough to pull off. Have fun.
