It is DF MANDATED that public transportation use only ULSD in new vehicles
I am not sure if that is the Hoy No Circula you mean that mandates the use of ULSD. Is there a date for compliance? I have tried to read and understand the Hoy No Circula but it is pages of legal speak some of which eludes me. If they buy only new municipal vehicles that require ULSD does that mean they are equipped as US vehicles are with parts that supposedly only work properly with ULSD? Or do they mean they must put ULSD in any new vehicle no matter how it is equipped? (Understanding you refer to municipal only - not just any new vehicle as in the US) Side note - many US municipalities now us natural gas as it is even cleaner - I think I read that Los Angeles has now completely switched all buses to natural gas.
