Cleaning the DPF on class 8 trucks is a hit and miss procedure. Some mfrs. do not recommend cleaning. The price on new units has dropped significantly. As for fuel quality. Back about 20 years ago it was not unusual to fill up and soon find white smoke coming out the tailpipe of a gasoline car. Or your car would sputter. My wife had a Tracker here in Mexico that would ping every once in awhile. With all the electronics the fuel would have to be very poor to have pinging. But the high Cetane diesel is great stuff. Our non electronic Bluebird loved the Mexican fuel!
