Did this a few years ago in 2014. The road is fine, OTR trucks use this all the time. You will have to go all the way up the "Great Northern Peninsula" as its called here. Just outside St. Anthony is L'Anse Aux Meadows where the Viking settlement is. Stay at Triple Falls RV park. Lots of room for a rig of your size.
Check on separating your toad from the MH on the ferry. They charge by length, by separating just for the ferry, may be cheaper. Another place for icebergs is Twilingate. Check out
