US 23 in Michigan from Ohio state line to I-96

Question

Has anyone traveled this road in recent months?  We will be going through on a weekday this month and are wondering if we'll hit rough roads or construction.  We'd like to know because there are alternate routes we can take if necessary.  Thanks.

I was there Saturday.  96 and 24 interchange under construction.

23 to the Michigan line is under heavy construction, they are modifying the exits etc. and widening to three lanes.
Capistrano gets Swallows, Hinkley Ohio gets Buzzards and Ohio in general gets orange barrels. Basically you can get there from here.

It's really not all that far as you know.  I don't know that I'd go out of my way to avoid construction.  Most roads in Michigan are **** and full of potholes.
