US 40 thru Colorado
Can anyone give me advise about driving US 40 eastbound from Dinosaur to Empire in July? Many Thanks

Basically a two-lane road. Vast open high desert landscape which is likely to be hot, then Rabbit Ears pass, then Berthoud pass. Steamboat Springs and Winter Park are the tourist towns. I prefer to drive that kind of road during the daylight hours, it's safer. If you do drive it at night, be very careful for wildlife out on the road, particularly around dusk.
