US-74 from Charlotte, NC to Wilmington, NC.???

Is US-74 from Charlotte to Wilmington any good? It has been many years since we have gone that route, and what I remember is a lot of congestion and stoplights along the way. Am I thinking of the ri...

Agree with PapPappy, we use it often, in fact just drove yesterday on the section from I-95 down to Wilmington, and it moved along quite well with minimal traffic despite being a beach check-in day.
