US 90 vs I-10 across from Louisiana to Florida

A few years ago we traveled west from FL to TX using US 90 instead of I-10. This year we are in Texas and heading home to Florida. Any thoughts on which is the better road in this part of the countr...

US-90 is the scenic route and I-10 is the push me along and I will get there sooner route.
