US to require COVID Testing for International Flyers

Starting January 26, international flyers returning to the US have to provide a negative COVID test before boarding.

  • It says you need to test negative 3 days before flying, so you would not be able to fly on shorter notice.
  • I would believe an evacuation service would be a different deal, if you were supposed to be on a private aircraft.

You can try to contact the contracted service and ask them. Though I would imagine they are trying to get confirmation on how the new rules apply to them so it might take a while for them to respond.
  • My curiosity question is in regards to those who have paid for air evacuation services.

IF you test positive for Covid, you are not supposed to be allowed on a plane to the US or Canada after certain dates.

So, what about your evacuation service that you paid for? Just stirring the pot here.
  • I'm glad I cancelled the mission trip to Ecuador this coming June. Not sure how that would work out.
