US45 from Mobile to Chicago
Has anybody ever run US 45 from Mobile Alabama to Chicago Illinois? What kind of condition is that road in? Not in any big hurry as have a full week to make the trip.

IIRC, some sections in Illinois are in pretty bad shape.....as are a LOT of things in Illinois......but it runs parallel to I-57 and should be easy to jump over. That's assuming that I-57 is any better.
