We did that trip from Torey to Bryce and you shouldn't have any problems with that route. We based out of Cannonville KOA for Bryce area, and then out of Page AZ (Wahwep campground at Lake Powell). It's a beautiful facility and I really enjoyed hiking the slot canyons in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument area. Also don't forget about the slot canyons east of Page in the Navajo reservation area.
One of the unsung routes in that area is when you visit Horseshoe bend of Co. River, further south is the Navajo Bridge & the Marble Canyon, and further south still will take you on 89A through Kaibab National Forest, as you begin to come down out of the forest, stop at
LaFevere Lookout Point you will look out north and you can see 5 of the
6 steps of the Grand Staircase. You can't see all 6 for the curvature of the earth....starting with Bryce the Pink Steps, Grey Steps, White Steps, Vermillion Steps, Chocolate Steps with the 6th being the Grand Canyon. It makes a great photograph.
That and the drive from Mt. Carmel Junction to Zion and traveling through the tunnel (with your big rig, you will have to wait, but the rangers have this down to a fine art and the wait isn't long and the view is spectacular). It's worth the trip there. We based out of Zion River Resort Park and were very pleased with the accommodations.
